Attic conversion
An unused attic turned into a bright living space with a new roof window, insulated and finished sloping walls and a warm wooden floor.
The attic was used only for storage: dark, poorly insulated and unfinished. In the advisory phase we looked at how the space could become comfortably habitable, with enough daylight and without major changes to the roof.
We fitted a large roof window, insulated the roof and finished the sloping walls in plasterboard. The existing beam was left exposed and painted white. Recessed spotlights and a warm wooden floor make it a calm place to sit and work.
